[This a photo taken at the BUON GIORNO Restaurant in Tagaytay City during one of the ASPAC’s TEAM BONDING ACTIVITY held on March 18, 2017 with Doc ANDY TAN (ASPAC President at center sitting at the HEAD of the DINING TABLE.  On May 1, 2017 ( a Monday, though a public holiday), the ASPAC parents and their kids will undergo another TEAM BONDING exercise via a BADMINTON TOURNEY complete with actual officiating with the likes of UMPIRES, LINEMEN, etc. as though a real professional tournament. ASPAC is acronym for ATENEO SCHOOLS PARENTS COUNCIL…SEE YOU ALL ON MAY 1, 2017 at the BADMINTON HALL!]

Dahil kasayahan naman ang tampok na LAYON,

Kaya’t ang plano’y masayang kainan at PAGLILIMAYON1;

BOODLE FIGHT, ganyan ang NARARAPAT,

Para ang lahat ay mabusog at MABUNDAT2!

And kainang BOODLE FIGHT naman KASI,

Susubo ng pagkain habang ang lahat ay NAKA-PIRME;

Nakatindig sa harap ng mahabang dulang3 at mag-KAHARAPAN,

Maeengayo tuloy na tsumibog4 ng may USAPAN!

WASHING STATIONS5 ating ILALAGAY,

Upang makapaghugas ng kanya-kanyang KAMAY;

Kamayan to-its – walang kutsara’t TINIDOR,

Halos isang MILYA ang ating KOMEDOR6!

Panalangin ni TESS7 ay napag-ukulan ng PANSIN,

TEAM PAIRING nga ay PAPANDAYIN8;

Para parehas ang syang LABANAN,

OKEY ang magiging laro ng bawat KOPONAN9!

Kaya ang mga IMPORTS na PRO-PLAYERS,

Maitatambal na natin sa mga TEAM “TRIERS10”;

Kapag ganito na ang syang “TEAM-MANNING”11,

Mas magiging masarap ang “GAME-WINNING”!

Kaya sana ay makita ko NAMAN,

Laro ng bawat PARENT sa “PRACTICE RUN”12;

Para magkaroon ng angkop na “LEVELLING”13,

At lalong maging SWAK ang “TEAM-PAIRING”!

Sa bawat SABADO, mula sa A-KINSE14,

Nitong ABRIL- – – pero wag MAG-PAPALANSI;

Meron dyang ang sabi’y BEGINNER DAW,

Pero linsyak naman kung siya ay HUMATAW!

Basta’t ang IMPORTANTENG tunay nga NAMAN,

Masaya tayong MAGKAKANTAHAN;

Dahil pagkatapos ng BADMINTON TOURNEY,

Mag-DU-DUET si Doc ANDY at si RAUL na ATTORNEY!

Kaya DAPAT sa atin at bawat ISA,

May handang TIG-IISANG AWITING PIYESA;

Pero siguradong ang TAMPOK na syang AANTAYIN,

Ang AWIT ni MARITESS na titulo’y PURIHIN….!

=========================================================================

[Legend: 1 – PAGLILIMAYON is a Tagalog word which connotes SOCIALIZING and which necessarily includes BONDING.
2 – MABUNDAT is a Tagalog term which denotes filling up the stomach until it is TAUT into satiety.
3 – DULANG is a Tagalog term which means DINING TABLE. Actually, the idea of a BOODLE FIGHT was suggested by Atty. Ramon M. Maronilla (a regular player at the BADMINTON Hall) who is currently the  UP Alumni President and member of the UP Board of Regent. Atty. Maronilla together with my brothers Warren and Winston (who is from the UNILAB/UNAHCO group and who will donate the T-shirts and trophies c/o UNILAB/UNAHCO) and Fiscal Perlo Chua-cheng are helping me in seamlessly organizing the ASPAC Badminton Tourney.
4 –  TSUMIBOG is a slang Tagalog term which means TO EAT.
5 – The idea of WASHING STATIONs was also suggested by Atty. Maronilla just as to prevent a long line from forming when its EATING time as only ONE (1) CR is easily accessible and available near the Badminton  Hall. But on TOURNEY date, we will open the back gate to gain access to another TWO (2) CRs and LAVATORY. The improvised WASHING STATIONS to be placed near the FRONT GATE of the BADMINTON HALL will consist of THREE (3) SMALL tables with basin and a PAIL filled with water with DIPPER plus soap and towel for drying up the wet hands, for each table. The TWO (2) tables near the front of the CR at the FRONT GATE and another table near the window of the DRESSING ROOM at the left part of the FRONT GATE to the BADMINTON HALL.
6 – KOMEDOR is actually a corruption of the Spanish word COMEDOR which means the DINING ROOM but it eventually metamorphozised into the Tagalog verbal milieu to mean also, as a DINING TABLE.
7 – TESS is Maritess Cordero who is an active and diligent BOARD MEMBER of ASPAC.
8 – PAPANDAYIN is a Tagalog term which means to CRAFT into PERFECTION. It also means to smoothen up some kinks in a job, a thing or an event.
9 – KOPONAN is a Tagalog term which means TEAM.
10 – TRIERS would refer to the BEGINNERS in this BADMINTON PLAY.
11-  TEAM-MANNING is another term for TEAM-PAIRING.
12 – PRACTICE RUN – Practice and training for BEGINNERS will be held every Saturday of this month of April 2017 starting on April 15 starting at 2:00 PM. Then, on April 22 and 29, 2017 also at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the BADMINTON Hall.
13 – LEVELLING is a process to determine the level of SKILL of every badminton player to arrive at a correct TEAM-PAIRING determination.
14 – A KINSE would mean on the FIFTEENTH (15) day of April 2017.]
