‘Twas indeed a big surprise, that caught and shocked ME…

Our dear Brod GEORGE who’s truly tops in GEOLOGY;

Last of his posting, was so GREEK perhaps, to all and SUNDRY – –

‘Twas as Strategic Technical and Management Consultant for Mineral and ENERGY,

It even included  Water and Land Resources Development, oh so,  I SEE!

For GEORGE earned a doctorate degree in CORNELL U, in EIGHTY-NINE…

That was perhaps to hone and polish more his skills on EARTH and MINE;

His interests then during his twilight years was in MANTLE GEODYNAMICS – –

Those terms such as OPHIOLITES and SUBDUCTION ZONES are even GREEKER to me, for they don’t sound as BASICS,

GEORGE indeed has reached his APEX and lots of virtual EPICS!

GEORGE has had extensive (30 years) professional positions at USACE, USNRC, and USGS…

USACE is acronym for United States Army Corps of ENGINEERS;

USNRC is all about his cutting-edge work at the NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION – –

And USGS is about GEOLOGICAL SURVEY and much land EXPLORATION,

He’s indeed a bright Filipino who brought much GEOLOGIC progress for the AMERICAN NATION!

Brod GEORGE was an expert in CHROMITE and PGE and base metal EXPLORATION…

Around the Pacific Ring-of-Fire as well as in OIL and GAS EXPEDITION;

His focus indeed in  oil and gas exploration in inter-arc and marginal basins at ZONE SUBDUCTION – –

Would make him much in demand for a vaunted SOUTH CHINA SEA study and EXAMINATION,

That could certainly bring boon, financial  blessings to our FILIPINO NATION!

GEORGE is even expert in matters of nickel mines as well as copper and gold deposits in arc PORPHYRIES…

His government,  private industry and fund acquisition experience, brought him much ken and much more MEMORIES;

Allowed him to examine various mineral/metal/energy resources, environmental, earth science and engineering PROJECTS – –

Gave him much accessibility into various agricultural, forest, soil, water, and energy resource issues, thus expanding his PROSPECTS,

Making him eventually thereby so much in demand in those FIRST WORLD COUNTRIES like the US!

Though GEORGE, is a true-blue GADDANG and Brod ROMY’s best FRIEND…

I did not have much bonding with him, but to so many brods, he did socially BLEND;

I guess he’s stereotyped as discriminating in picking his chums and MATES – –

And he’s indeed much prone to socialize more with his ILOCANO TOWNMATES,

First and foremost of all, is Brod JUDGE REY ALHAMBRA, who’s handsomest among those MANILA MAGISTRATES!

I doff my hat to our BELOVED DEPARTED BROD who’s a GEOLOGY WHIZ…

Even planned to work here in our country to share his brilliant EXPERTISE…

But as I was some sort of a DUTERTE LOYALIST and SUPPORTER – –

We’d debate on matters of the STATE and about some BUREAUCRATIC MATTER,

And I’d feel that I’m not much an expert in politics, as my brain would go  PITTER-PATTER!

Eternal rest be granted unto one of our most venerable BRODS…

‘Twas good,  was among those who migrated to the US, amidst those usual paternal/maternal PRODS;

Loving and caring parents who’d want their scion to zoom into PROSPERITY – –

The enticement to catch the AMERICAN dream was truly strong back in the 70s,

And I’m glad to learn through my quick research that BROD GEORGE, is truly one of our FRAT’S BIGGIES!

REST IN HEAVEN INDEED, BROD GEORGE SO PEACEFULLY…
