[Left photo above shows the aggrupation of the ASPAC parents who attended the PARANGAL AWARDS NIGHT on April 20, 2018 at the 5th Floor of the Rizal Hall at the ATENEO. Right photo shows the ASPAC parents with the members of the NAYONG PILIPINO Troupe which WOWED and AMAZED the audience with a variety of their song-and-dance numbers. ASPAC is acronym for ATENEO SCHOOLS PARENTS COUNCIL and the PARANGAL is being regularly done to award faculty members of the ATENEO particularly those who excel in their teaching profession. The TITLE of this BLOG: “DAGUNDONG NA TAGUMPAY, PARANGAL AWARDS AY TUNAY NA KUMAMPAY” would roughly translate into English as: “ASTOUNDING SUCCESS, PARANGAL AWARDS HAS SOARED UNTO GREATER HEIGHTS”.]
Sinimulan ng PAMBUNGAD na PANALANGIN;
Umawit ang tambalang CATAYLO1 at QUINTIN2,
Sinaliwan pa rin ng BALLET RENDITION;
Ng bunso kong si ALEE3 who was in high spirits & in good CONDITION!
Umariba pagkatapos ang NAYONG PILIPINO Troupe4;
Ang PANGULO ng ASPAC8 may hatid na BALITA;
Aba’y magaling pala syang managalog,
Mabait na LIDER at kung minsan ay KALOG9!
May bating PANIMULA din syempre si Mam VILCHES10,
Siya’ng ATENEO VICE-PRESIDENT na truly elegant in DRESS;
She spoke too in so eloquent ENGLISH,
A true mark of an ATENEAN, a MASTERAL grad in Lit.11!
Ginawaran pagkatapos ng PLAKE si Doc ANDY12,
Pirmado ni VILCHES, ni ANDREW13 at ni KATTIE14;
Aba syempre ay dapat din namang PARANGALAN,
Tunay na daming ginawa si Doc ANDY sa taong nagdaan!
Nag-umpisa na rin ang PAGAWAD ng KARANGALAN,
Nagwagi si GARCIANO15 bilang TAGAPAMAGITAN16;
Siya’y tinanghal na MOST OUTSTANDING MODERATOR,
MATEMATIKA ang kanyang ginagamitan ng EXCALIBUR17!
Tumayo namang PINAKATANGI-TANGING GURO-PART TIME,
Si Ginang SIMPAS18, who is full of CHARM;
She is like a MOTHER, wika ni JOSEPH19,
So caring, comforting & calm … even in her INNER SELF!
At ang MOST OUTSTANDING FULL-TIME TEACHER naman,
Ay si DIDITH20 na anak ni EMMA TAN21;
She is Dr. MA. MERCEDES T. RODRIGO,
A PhD from NOVA22 and a product too of the ATENEO!
At nagbigay ng MENSAHE si Fr. JETT23,
Bagamat humingi ng PATAWAD dahil siya’y na-LATE;
PILIPINO …‘twas a SIGHT!
